Dr. Kim began his education by obtaining his medical degree in Nashville, Tennessee. He then preceded through a rigorous 5 year residency in general surgery in Los Angeles, California. These years laid the foundation for his specialized training in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as Hand and microvascular surgery at USC Medical Center. Dr. Kim has also studied and trained abroad in Asia to better understand the difference in aesthetics for Asian patients.

Dr. Kim is fully trained in the surgical specialty of plastic surgery. Dr. Kim is double board certified in both plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as general surgery. Dr. Kim is a member of the recognized American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Kim is affiliated and holds privileges in several southland hospitals to perform various facial and body reconstructive procedures.
